Character Naming

As an Author naming your Character is an important step right after coming up with the plot. I am here to help you choose the right character name for you and your story.

Make sure your character name is Genre Appropriate. Make sure if it's a Historical Fiction novel or takes place in a real time period that the name was used then. Or if it's a fictionalized place then you can be as creative as you wish.

Just have fun with naming your character. It is after all your story.

Jace

Meaning: (A Healing, Healer, The Lord is My Salvation, Short form of Jason)

Origin: (Greek, English)

Pronunciation:  (JAYS, Jayce)

Gender: Male, Possibly Uni-Sex

This is the name of the male character in one of my future novels. He was to be named Alexander at first but I’ve used Alexander *see on list of posts* on a lot of characters and when I decided to make the character Latino I was going to go with Alejandro but then I saw a movie and the main male character was named Jace, at first I thought they were saying Chase but when I googled the movie which was based on a book I saw the name was Jace, I came to love the name even more.

The meanings I love and the look I love as well. So I thought to make my character be named Jason with the nickname Jace but I loved Jace so much I decided to make my characters full name Jace Alejandro Rhodes, his mother is of Greek descent and his father is of Spanish decent.

The name itself is a strong name with great meanings. It seems a name fit for a bad boy or very strong determined character. It's short and simple and all around great.

I try to have the most accurate Meanings, Origin and Pronunciations for the names on this blog. It is best though to do research into the names you decide to use for your characters as there can be errors on my blog. Or meanings, origins, and pronunciations I have not seen thus not been able to add to this blog.
