Character Naming

As an Author naming your Character is an important step right after coming up with the plot. I am here to help you choose the right character name for you and your story.

Make sure your character name is Genre Appropriate. Make sure if it's a Historical Fiction novel or takes place in a real time period that the name was used then. Or if it's a fictionalized place then you can be as creative as you wish.

Just have fun with naming your character. It is after all your story.

Meaning: (Pillar, Pilar was a character in the book ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’ by Ernest Hemingway.)

Origin: (Spanish)

Pronunciation: (pee-LAR, pee-LAHR)

Gender: Female

I heard this name the other day and I like it a lot. It's beautiful and has an exotic look to it. I really would love to use this name for one of my characters I just have to find the right character and story before I can use it. I hope someone else uses this name too for there character as this name is unique and very rarely used on book characters.
