The other day I saw Shamblin. It's a street name near my house. I thought it was cool sounding. That night I thought of Shamberlyn & Shamberlin and thought those would be cute. Then I thought about Chamberlyn and Chamberlin. I looked these names up and they are all similar and surnames. I think my favorites are Chamberlyn & Shamberlyn. If anyone knows if my pronunciations are way off or there are other better pronunciations please let me know.

ReplyDeleteIndeed an informative article. I think your right, because naming a baby is very important and crucial decision taken by the parents. So I even visit some baby name sites and where have found babynology.com. it’s a good resource of baby names by naming.
ReplyDeleteI don't care for babynology.com I have 3 or 4 other sites I think are more helpful but I am glad you have found a site that is helpful and usuful for your need for names and meanings. I am always saying that people should find a site that works for them and I am glad you have found yours.
ReplyDeleteI agree naming a baby is an important task for the parents but my blog is primarily helping Authors and Writers find names for there characters. Of course they must think of the characters parents in these circumstances.

ReplyDeleteWell like I have pointed out before my site is merely a blog that is devoted to names I believe writers and authors may find helpful during their character naming process.
ReplyDeleteI have written at the end of all of my pages of my blog that the meanings, origins, and pronunciations are collected from many other sources. I also advise anyone wishing to name a character or in rare cases a child (as I do get from time to time expectant parents on my blog) to do thorough research and I give addresses to baby name sites or suggest they check out character naming sites and books.
Everyone has the site they prefer over others and I do as well. I have been getting these comments often trying to direct me or my blog followers to babynology.com. If that is the site some like then that is fine. I have other baby name sites that I prefer as I have stated before. I am glad that others have found a site that works best for their needs.
Finely, I do not try to compete with legit baby name websites as again I am blogger who just loves names and just wanted a place to share that.
