Carmen was the name of one of the girls in the novels Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I have used the name Carmen as the name of one of my characters. I think Carmen is a lovely Latin name. The meaning is beautiful. Only down fall is Carmen is used quite a bit frequently in literature. But if you love the name use it.
