Tamsin

Meaning: (Twin, Contracted form of Thomosina. It was traditionally used in Cornwall.)

Origin: (English, Aramaic)

Pronunciation:  (TAM-sin, TAEMZihN)

Gender: Female

I was watching a TV show and a character on the show was named Tamsin. I like the name and the pronunciation but not a huge fan of it being a short form of Thomasina. I mean Thomasina is a fine name but I don’t hear it enough to really care for it. I have a male cat named Thomas but we call him Tom Tom or Tommy so even then I don’t use Thomas all that much. The meaning is nice and so this name could be used for a twin and could be used in reference to where it is popular, Cornwall, Britain.
