Aeronwen

Meaning: (Fair Blessed Berries, Combination of Aeron “Berry” and the suffix Gwen “White, Fair, Blessed”. Also possibly derives from the name of a shadowy Celtic Goddess of Battle and Slaughter, known in a Latin form as Agrona.)

Origin: (Welsh)

Pronunciation: (ayR-AANWehN, eye-RON-wen, eye-RAWN-win, eye-ROAN-win)

Gender: Female

This name I saw when looking at Aeronwy *see on list of posts*. So this name is similar in many ways to Aeronwy. The meanings are beautiful and the name itself is very lovely. However the name derives from the name of a shadowy Celtic Goddess of Battle and Slaughter, known in a Latin form as Agrona, so it’s a bit dark in that aspect but the other meanings make me like this name more than the little dark aspect of it.
