Place Name: Magdala was a town on the Sea of Galilee, the possible home of Mary Magdalene, whom Jesus healed and who was present at his crucifixion. Gender: Female

Recently I have watched a show with an all English (British) cast. The main character is a girl named Madeline. I really like the look of this name and I have even added the nickname Maddy to my Favorite Female Names List on this blog. I tend to lean toward pronouncing this MAD-uh-line but most people pronounce it MAD-a-linn. Either way is right. It is also a pretty cute name but it could age well too.
