I have been watching Little House on the Prairie lately as there is little else of interest in T.V right not. Anyway there is a girl on the show named Nellie and I haven't really been a fan of the name Nellie or Nelly but lately I kind of like the name Nellie. I think it would be better as a nickname as it is a variant of Cornelia, Eleanor, and Helen but it is alright as a stand alone name I guess. There are two well known Nelly's everyone knows of... Nelly the Rapper and Nelly Furtado the pop singer. So there can be pro's and con's to using this name for a character. As for me I prefer Nellie with the ie over just Nelly. I like that it is a bit old fashioned at least the one with the ie is anyway.
