I hadn't thought of this word as a name before. I saw it on the blog Baby Names Daily (http://www.babynameaddict.blogspot.com/). I also just learned that Actor Forest Whitaker and his wife Keisha Nash have a daughter named Sonnet, born 1996. And Flickr founders Stewart Butterfield and Caterina Fake also have a daughter named Sonnet, born 2007. As a character name I think it would be interesting to see where the author takes it. If used and explained nicely this name would be an awesome character name. I would personally love to read about a character named Sonnet.
