Beryl stones are pretty and another favorite gem of mine. I saw Beryl spelled Birle in the novel On Fortunes Wheel by Cynthia Voigt. Then I remembered it was in the bible. I love it as a name. It is old fashioned like Opal *see Opal on the list* but I think they are both great names.
